My new horror novel, Doppelgänger, comes out tomorrow, February 3, 2015. In honor of that, I made this short video profiling three real-life locations featured in the book. This video was made with Google Earth Pro, which this past weekend Google began offering for free–previously you had to pay $400 a year to use it. Since you know how much I love Google Earth, you can imagine this is a big deal for me!
In this video I will show you the lakeside town of Vänersborg, Sweden; Solna Church and its surrounding (very famous) cemetery near Stockholm, Sweden; and the site of the novel’s primary location, an address on West 38th Street in New York City. Doppelgänger takes place in the 19th century and obviously these are modern locations that have changed a bit, but they’re still quite recognizable.
I’ve done many Earth posts, but this is the first “Earth Tour.” Expect to see more of these in the future. If you’d like to order Doppelgänger, you can do it from my publisher, Samhain Horror, here, or from Amazon (Kindle version) here. Enjoy!
