Wrecked Truck Became «The Terminator»

This has got to be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. An enterprising Norwegian science fiction fan builds himself a real-life Terminator! This is why we love the ThorNews blog–I doubt you’d see this anywhere else. This needs to be shared and retweeted like a zillion times. Absolutely amazing!

Jan Smiebakken is such a big fan of the Terminator films that he made himself a full-size robot.

It started two years ago, when the avid movie fan started mounting some loose parts from a wrecked truck. Today, a fully sized copy of the intrepid robot that is partly human and partly machine is on display at the Kvinesdal cinema.

– I am a big fan of the Terminator movies, so I just started to build a robot, Smiebakken tells NRK.

All parts are junk from cranes and trucks. The head is moving and lights are coming from his eyes. The creator has lost count of how many hours he have spent constructing.
