Chapter 18 of my World War II spy serial The Armored Satchel is up as of this afternoon! In this chapter, Ilse Vier, the Nazi bitch who’s been stalking our hero Max since almost the beginning of the story, winds up in a very sticky situation–a live firefight in Normandy with American troops, where she is most certainly a fish out of water! In the meantime, Max infiltrates the headquarters of the German Army, and comes face-to-face with an assassin who will change history.

After last week’s emotional character-based chapter, I decided that this week’s installment would have some gunfire and explosions, so here you go! I also like, and hope readers can tell, how the story is sort of “tightening up”–characters and situations are being put in place for a really big plot development.
As you’ll note from the (revised) cover image, this is the first week I’m eligible to display the “Top 30” ribbon from JukePop Serials, and I’m damned proud of it. Thanks again to everyone who has supported this story and made it something special.
