I got a wonderful package the other day–a whole box full of print copies of my upcoming book Zombie Rebellion, which comes out June 3! As you can see from the above photo, the printed version of the book is stunning and I couldn’t be happier with it. Samhain Horror, my publisher, has done a bang-up job on this, my second title for them. You can preorder the e-book version of Zombie Rebellion on Kindle right now; I’m not sure when the print versions will become available, but hopefully it will be soon.
If you haven’t already caught on to what the book is about, it’s a rather whimsical (but still terrifying) zombie adventure set in the backwoods frontier of western Pennsylvania in 1794, during the real-life Whiskey Rebellion. It’s full of muskets, tomahawks, swilling moonshine, white powdered wigs and oodles of zombie-killing, and even the Father of our Country himself, George Washington, makes an appearance. Zombie Rebellion is quite different than my 2013 novel Zombies of Byzantium, but the “historical zombies” idea comes from much the same place.
I can’t wait to hear the reaction to the book. If you’re a zombie fan or have enjoyed my previous books, I think you’ll love this one!
FYI: I am going to be signing books at the World Horror Convention Mass Autograph Signing in Portland, Oregon on May 9 (Friday). It will be at the Portland Doubletree Hotel, 1000 NE Multnomah Street, from 6 to 9PM. It’s free and open to the public. I hope some of my readers will be there!
