1922-1930 The deconstruction of Tutankhamun’s tomb, in color

First Night History, which scours the web for great history articles, has brought us a link to some truly eye-popping photos of the original discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb in the 1920s. I’m a sucker for old color photos, so naturally I was drawn to these! Originally appearing on Mashable, these pics are an absolute must-see for archaeology or ancient Egypt buffs. Having actually seen the real Tutankhamen artifacts with my own eyes, it’s really incredible to see what they looked like when they were brought out of the tomb.

This was very timely and so cool. My son is learning about King Tut in Social Studies. Thank you!
