REVIEW: Metallica – Hardwired…To Self-Destruct (2016)

I admit I haven’t been much of a Metallica fan in the last 20 years, after the disappointment of the Load/ReLoad albums of the 1990s (and lingering controversy from the Black Album). Thus I have not heard Metallica’s new offering, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. But Mike Ladano has, and I present his interesting take on the new record, especially from someone roughly my age and who has lived through the same Metallica ups-and-downs over the last 25 years. Great read.

    Personally I loved Load. Not Reload so much; I felt it ran like a series of outtakes. But Load I still enjoy today.
