Take an online course with Sean Munger!
My name is Sean Munger, and I’m a historian, author, teacher and podcaster. I offer fully interactive online courses, on a rolling basis, through Zoom (free virtual meeting software), on a variety of subjects.
I have a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in American history, specializing in the Early Republic and especially environmental history. My latest course offerings are “Geohistories,” where I use Google Earth to show you the actual places where key historical events took place. The Geohistory approach combines an in-depth historical approach with geography, which will enable you to “visit” the sites we talk about through your computer.
“Understanding the American Revolution online classes given by Sean Munger were excellent. While I have previously known much of the Who, What and When of the American Revolution, Sean’s presentation helped me understand more of the Why of the American Revolution. The classes gave me a much greater appreciation of the diversity of interests and views of individuals and particularly the leaders in the various and varied colonies and how those diverse interests and views congealed into a confederation that led to a unified commitment to separate (revolt) from their country (Great Britain).”
“Enjoyed the class very much. Learned things that had never crossed my mind as a discussion point. Definitely will take more classes from Sean, as he is an excellent teacher. Makes things interesting with lots of side notes.”
